Tasmanian Projects > Bass JVs

(Bass 75%, Clancy 25%)

Clancy has two joint ventures with Bass: Lake Margaret EL28/2009 located 5km north of the Mt Lyell copper mine and 10km south of the Henty gold mine; and Sock Creek EL20/2010 located 7.5km southwest of the Hellyer mine. Both tenements cover prospective stratigraphy for base metal and gold deposits within the Mount Read Volcanic Belt. Significant drilling results were recently released by Copper Mines of Tasmania who intersected substantial widths of copper mineralisation at the Copper Chert discovery at the northern end of its Mt Lyell mining lease, approximately 1km to the south of the Lake Margaret JV. Results included 63m @ 2.7% Cu; incl. 31m @ 3.9% Cu and 142m @ 2.4% Cu; incl. 42m @ 5% Cu. Bass is highly encouraged by these results as the host geological sequence may run north onto the Lake Margaret JV.
